Daniel Nelson a talented arranger, composer, and keyboardist has established and audience that loves the soulful, smooth sound he projects through his heartfelt music.

His love for music began when he was 9 years old when he played the acoustic guitar with band members consisting of his elder brothers. They had a preference for the sound of artists like Kool and the Gang, Ohio Players, Cameo and the original sound of James Brown. As a group they often referred to themselves as ‘Daniel Boone and the Gang’. Along with playing the guitar and drums, Daniel played the piano which undoubtedly became his first love.

His interest for music expanded throughout middle school into college with courses in voice, stage band, piano, and production. His first public performance was in the church where he was deemed as talented and gifted. This avenue led to the position of head musician for various churches. He has had the privilege of performing at BB King’s House of Blues, Wilshire Ebell Theatre, The Wiltern Theatre, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and various local venues.

Practicing daily and mimicking some of his favorite jazz artist- Joe Sample, George Benson, Al Jarreau, Ramsey Lewis, Herbie Hancock, Kirk Whalum; gospel artist – Andre Crouch, The Hawkins Family, Commission, the Winans and more, his gift as a pianist intensified and he began studio production on his first project and many others.

His new Cd "Are You Serious"? is captivating.
